Vague Soul
Clothing as a feeling you can wear
Vague Soul is my clothing brand and the place where everything I do meets. I design, style, model, shoot, edit, market, plan the shows, and sew the pieces myself. This is the work.

Building the pieces I could not buy
I started designing in order to actualize my true styling capability. I would see cool clothes and designs online that I wanted but couldn't have because they were too expensive. So I started designing pieces at home that mirrored the silhouettes of the pieces I saw online. I started by flaring pants, then moved on to double knee pants. I continued using that pattern to create extravagant, unique pieces, and I developed a style of flares that overlays lace on top of the flare panel.
The drops
The work comes in drops. Three major ones (Y2K, Spider, Desert), with smaller drops (Red, Brutal 1) in between and before.

Y2K
Blue and Y2K oriented. Bedazzled pockets, baggy and flared silhouettes, and Russian fur hats (ushankas) I make from scratch. This is the drop that got me my first runway show.

Signature pieces
A few pieces became signatures: the Final Boss jackets, the Double Leg jeans, the lace flares, and the ushankas.

Modeling / Styling
Styling like composing
I started styling after I started designing in order to fully bring my pieces to life. I treat styling like composing. Each garment's color and texture needs to harmonize perfectly with the rest in order to create a magnificent outfit. I try not to cut corners on my styling, and it has evolved over time from a maximalist look to a more minimalist style in 2026. My goal in fashion is cohesion and harmony while still pushing limits.
I want someone to experience my outfit, not just feel it.

The looks

Maximalist to minimalist
The look has changed. It started maximalist, loud, every element fighting for attention, and it has moved toward something quieter and more deliberate in 2026. Read it left to right.

Pushing limits
I pushed the limits of fashion by wearing my own clothes at NAACP national board meetings and national conventions. I even met Joe Biden in a pair of my own pants while he was still president. He said they were pretty cool.

Runways
What I can do with two hands
My two runway shows were on August 31, 2024 and June 29, 2025. I also designed for a runway in October 2025, though I never got pictures from it. I would love to do another show, but I need to build a team of people who can help me carry it out, because I can only do so much with two hands.

Spider
This show was inspired by my arachnophobia. I'm not the type of person to run away from something I fear, and I wanted this show to prove it.

Desert
This show was inspired by my respect for the sun and everything it does for us. The desert is where the sun is at its most powerful, and if you learn how to harness it, it can benefit you. I also liked it as a juxtaposition to my last show.
